Jeff Mcdougall| In 1989 Jeff Mcdougall began creating Traditional
Kwakiutl gold and silver jewelry. He brought this dedication
to excellence and a s a result has created superior quality
art forms. • Jeff is a member of the Nimpkish Band of The Kwakiutl Nation. He was born and raised in Alert Bay, B.C., then attended High School in Victoria, B.C. In 1981, Jeff moved to Calgary, Alberta and pursued a career in Paramedicine but his true aspirations lay with his creativity in the form of artistic traditions which pertain to his jewelry and heritage. • This Traditional Kwakiutl jewelry which Jeff designs has been displayed in galleries all over Canada; Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Whitehorse. He also attends Art Shows regularly where he shares his creativity with fellow artists and the public. • In 1990 Jeff attended Lewton Brain – Fontans Center for Jewelry Studies in Calgary and acquired many skills as a silversmith. The courses proved to be a tremendous asset and is evident in his work today. • Jeff Mcdougall is from a family of nobility and tradition. Being a Kwakiutl Indian depicts a vision and inspires him to create and become apart of his art which he displays in his jewelry.
